The BIG Day

Today is our wedding anniversary. Aww...I know. So, I bring you some photos from the big day. I am fortunate enough to have a good buddy who is quite possibly the world's best photographer. Really. He is*. His name is Jensen Sutta and he's cute as a button. Really. He is. Check out his site. I'm on there. I'm famous*. Really. I am.

ANYWAY...here are the photos from our wedding day in Cambria, quite possibly the most beautiful place on earth. Or, at the very least, it's at the top of the list of the most beautiful places in California. I've added captions where I wanted to provide some extra info, but I did nothing to "fix" them. They don't need fixin.
DJ's sisters are on the outside. That's Quart next to me.
*Jenny, on the right, is 7 months pregnant in this photo*

This is Benji. He's our nephew (Jenny's 1st son). He's 2 1/2 here.

He sucked as a ring bearer, but he's cute, so that makes up for it.

This is me with Quart & Grandmaother

Apparently, I had my arms up in the air a lot.
If I remember correctly (and this was after SEVERAL Margarita's)
I had just told everyone how great I looked.
Drunk, Drunkest & Drunker

Um, isn't he supposed to have his hand on MY ass?
These are my in-laws. It's speech time.

This is my reaction to what my brand new Father-in-law said during his speech.

And I quote: "When I first met Meghan, I was like, 'Eh?'"

I. Kid. You. Not.
This is me, moments later, attempting to stop the tears.

From laughter?

And because I couldn't possibly end on THAT note.

*There's also someone else on Jensen's site, who is completely insane and the mere thought of her makes my skin crawl. But the pictures of her wedding are beautiful, even if she herself is frightful. Someday I'll tell you the story about her. It's a good one. She used to be my boss. Oh! And one of my brides is on there. I planned her wedding at the Resort where I used to work.

*He travels to anywhere in the world, so if you need a photographer for a big event, he's TOTALLY your guy.

Happy Anniversary, DJ! I love you!

Really, I do!

In Which I Complain About the "Heat"

It's HOT. Not really, but it feels like it's about NineGaBillion Degrees in my living room right now. No, make that TenGaBillion. Yea. Ten-andAHalfGaBillion. That's more like it. It's one of those nights where a glass of red wine doesn't even taste as good as usual because I'm wishing I'd poured a nice COLD glass of white, but I had a glass of red left in the bottle (which doesn't happen often) and I didn't want it to go bad, since it's taken me 4 nights to finish this bottle (which also doesn't happen often) so I poured the red, even against my better "It's hot so a glass of white would taste much better" judgement, and now I'm regretting it.

But we had an awesome day today, which produced many an awesome picture, which you'll see tomorrow, and I just entered the contest currently running at Pioneer Woman which I'm pretty sure I'm not going to win since I was the Elevent Billionth entry. Not really. I was the 4,8oo-something entrant, which is better, but still not great. Oh well. I don't have room in my house for more electronic crap, unless it's a new camera, which I STILL haven't succeeded in convincing DJ I NEED. He says he needs new golf clubs more and I'm like "Say what? How do golf clubs benefit the FAMILY as a UNIT? They just benefit YOU. A camera would benefit ALL of us, including our extended families and my blog readers." And he's all "If I get new clubs, I'll be more likely to leave to go golfing and you won't have to deal with me" and I'm all "Touche" and I think I lost him at the whole blog readers part. He really resents all the attention you guys get.

Speaking of, do I still even have blog readers? Where have you guys been? HELLLLOOOO??? Is there even any one out there anymore?

Did I tell you it's hot today?

Throwing DJ Someone Under The Bus

A few random thoughts:

1) How can DJ someone NOT like Lasagna?
2) How can DJ someone have NEVER heard of Spaghetti & Meatballs until last week?
3) How can DJ someone start snoring SO LOUDLY & SO CONSISTENTLY SO SUDDENLY?
4) How can DJ someone complain about how messy the house is and then come in, open a chocolate, throw the rapper on the counter, kick their shoes off in the middle of the floor and then take their socks off and drop them at the end of the couch and NOT understand why they get the stink eye?
5) How can DJ someone remember almost EVERY single round of golf they've ever played, and practically EVERY SHOT they've ever hit, but not remember what month we're in or what our phone number is?
6) How can DJ someone find any pleasure in watching the 1982 Master's Highlights for the Eleventy Billionth time?
7) How can Daddy's someone's arrival home evoke so much excitement that Dylan goes running outside cackling with glee and when I want to go inside the store with them he FREAKS OUT and cries. I carried him, birthed him, keep his ass clean and fed and I'm totally chopped liver. Except when he needs to pee, then it's ALL Me.
8) What do you want to bet that TONIGHT will be the night that DJ someone special checks in on my blog?
