Er, I mean, Don't Hate Me Because It's Beautiful Where I Live.
Yeah, that's what I meant.
With a whole lot of the country facing bitterly cold temperatures, snow and other un-fun winter related weather, I thought I would take this opportunity to give you a glimpse of what is ahead. What you have to look forward to. What YOUR life will be like soon. I am NOT trying to rub it in. I'm not, I promise.

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful
Artichokes! Parsley! Cilantro!
Please ignore the Crabgrass in the upper right corner.
And be aware that if you plant cilantro one year, it will spread to
your ENTIRE garden the next year. You have to REALLY like
Cilantro or REALLY like weeding. Just to warn you.
Lucky for me I REALLY like Cilantro & DJ REALLY likes weeding.
Especially if he gets to pull out all my bulbs that are FINALLY sprouting after much anticipation.
Then he's all "OH. It looked like a weed."
And I'm all "Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?!"
But that's neither here nor there.

Oh, I'd say that pulling up the bulbs is BOTH here and there. The nerve.
I miss lush green things. (I'm a desert-dweller. We have some green, but it's not lush. And none of it tastes like cilantro.
That thunking sound is me throwing myself on the ground and wailing in a jealous rage.
Bitch. It was 14 here on my drive to work today.
Mmm...cilantro. Throw in a few lemon and avacado trees and then I'd be insanely jealous.
So cool. I was out taking pictures yesterday of green grass...it had been awhile since we had any in our yard and it is kinda exciting to see it poking through the brown.
We are supposed to get a snow storm tonight. But, I really don't mind. I'll just stay in my house, cuddling my babies. Maybe we'll have some hot chocolate too.
