To start, and because I KNOW you guys rely on my Friday recipe's, I'll direct your attention to this:
Now onto a fashion question, which may or may not ignite STRONG debate. And, if I had the time to wait for next week, I'd totally ask Tootsie Farklepants for her advice, but I don't have that kind of time. I need to know NOW. What are your feelings on Crocs?
A certain family member (who reads this blog, comments, and shall remain nameless) who is currently visiting, was SHOCKED yesterday when my stepmom their spouse and I informed him them that Crocs, while comfortable, are not, necessarily, uh, fashionable. At all. But, that's just our opinion. What are your feelings? Please leave a comment, or, at the very least, vote in the poll to your right. Your individual poll choice will remain secret, much to my chagrin, as I have NO WAY of figuring out who voted what. Damn. Gracias, amigos/amigas.
Next...please leave the above fashion question at the door. Or, as they would say in Court, strike that from the record, when you begin this next section. Cleared your mind? Okay good...continue on.
Dylan recieved his first Birthday present yesterday from my Dad and Stepmon who are currently visiting. It's this:
And it's AWESOME. He's been busy taking all kinds of pictures, which, after we finally got him to point the camera in the right direction (see self portrait below) he's starting to master. See for yourself.
DJ did not take this photo, but it was declared his "favorite."
I'm going to need a lot of luck with that. A LOT.
And finally, Sweetney had this video posted on her site. Cracks me up. I thought about saving it for Make Me Laugh Monday next week, but couldn't keep it to myself that long. It's funny. And sad. Scary, really. Kinda brings me back to this post that I wrote a few weeks ago.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, that tiny little frivolous number? The number of US Troops killed in Iraq? It's 3,973 now. And also, in case you're wondering, and I know I'm going to hear from "Anonymous" or someone else about it. I DO NOT support the immediate withdrawal of US Troops, although it does sound mighty wonderful. We went in there and got them into this mess, we need to clean it up. I just hope we can figure out a way, rather quickly, to get most of our people out of there and still be able to get things settled down. Saddam Hussein was an asshole who did very bad things to people living in his country. And because I don't want to discount the loss of innocent Iraqi life, since January 2006 approximately 38,817 Iraqi civilians & Iraqi Security Forces have been killed.
Moving on to something that really is FUNNY and highly inappropriate....one last YouTube Video. This was a submission for Make Me Laugh Monday a few weeks ago and it cracked me up. It was submitted by AFRo.
Happy Leap Day!

I think Crocs are hideous. They're ugly as sin. They're awful on children, women, and particularly men. All the Crocs in the world should be melted down to make really fun tires for our cars.
Please go copy the potluck logo and display it proudly...it is in the Nirvana plan to roll out the potluck worldwebwide someday, but I am kinda tired right now...haha potlucks are always welcome.
All the kids have crocs because I throw them in the bath with them every evening to clean them which is much better then any other shoe for boys...did I mention I have three? As for me, I finally broke down and bought a pair...the silver ballet ones posted today on my blog (I think they are the ones on the left of the shoe line) and I love them. They are comfortable and not as clunky as the regular crocs. Everywhere I wear them mommies are inquiring where I got them (crocs.com). I know Tootsie is not in favor, but for hot TX weather and outside play they cannot be beat.
That Count video is hilarious. I love to eat too. I start slowly and go faster, faster . . .
If you look closely, The Count is wearing Crocs.
Ok, well I live in the CROC EPICENTER, where they were invented or copied-whichever you choose to believe. I don't wear mine out of the house, although my 4 year old has a pair of mary jane's that are cute! Now that I think about it, I haven't worn them in ages.
If you hate yours, recycle them, crocs will infiltrate 3rd world countries with your melted crocs given a second life. (solesunited.com)
Sj has that camera, it's awesome!
Yeah, I had to vote NEVER FREAKING OKAY BECAUSE THEY UGLY...yeah, yeah, they ugly. And weird.
As for the Nikon40---me and you all the way together girl. I'm buying one before the year is up...and that's a threat!
Crocs, and cameras and boobies, oh my!
Not to mention counts. That video was hilarious. I'm still laughing.
I voted for inside at home re: the crocs. But I don't own any. It's kinda like smoking. I don't care if people do it, as long as I don't have to be near it.
Although if they were on HRH or any of her boys, they'd be so cute I might change my mind.
AGH! I HATE BLOGGER IT AGE MY COMMENT AGAIN!!!!!
To recap: love my Crocs. I have two pairs. The boys live in their crocs.
AND I HATE BLOGGER COMMENT EATING POOPOOHEAD!
Crocs are great for kids - like HRH said, easy washability. I have them, my husband has them. They are quite ugly, but comfortable. I am guilty of looking hideous...at least around the feet area.
And yes, I'd be proud of those girls if I were you.
i like the crocs hrh got. i had the flip flops but had to stop wearing them because they are so damn slippery in the rain i kept falling down. it wasn't pretty.
I wonder what Stacy and Clinton would say?
I haven't seen a single high school girl wear Crocs this year. I think that's a signal that they aren't in style...
