I'm All Tatt'd Up

Surprise! I did it! I finally got a tattoo. Isn't it purdy? I still need to go back to have it "filled in" with some color. It represents the four most important things in my life: DJ, Dylan, Zach and blogging. One circle for each. I might have a stem & some leaves added later to make it look like a flower. I'm not sure. I still haven't really decided how to finalize it.

You didn't believe me, did you? That's actually a burn I received a faw days ago from my damned hair dryer when I developed Butter-Finger Syndrome and dropped it. It hurt like a bitch, but it is kinda pretty, right? Thats what I'm telling myself in the event that it creates a scar.

On another note, I was about ready to call in professional nanny/wet nurse assistance last night when Zach suddenly developed Mother-Effing Insomina. Of course this occurred when I felt like ass and was lying in bed as still as could be taking deep breaths and thinking "HolymotherofgodI'mgoingtothrowupanymomentanditsgoingtobehorriblepleasemakeitstop."

For some reason he decided to pick last night to use me as a pacifier because his ACTUAL pacifier just Would. Not. Do. All night. ALL freakin' NIGHT. Plus, he started making that godawful noise again yesterday and he also thought that he'd use last night as an opportunity to perfect it. So I couldn't even ignore him and hope he'd go back to sleep. That noise reverberated throughout the house and was SURE to wake Dylan up. He never even cried. And every time I went in there he'd get all excited and smile and kick his crib and pound his little arms on the mattress as he does every time I go into his room to get him. He's a little shit. He was just wide awake and wanted to spend time with someone. He did not understand my explanation that mommy was tired and felt like crap, or if he did understand he didn't even care.

He's lucky he's so damn cute.

Ya, I knew it wasn't real because it would need 5 circles, duh, ME! Seriously girl, that looks painful. So sorry for the lack of sleep and the binky thing. ugh. Hang in there. Maybe you could call in Nanny 911 or Jo so we could see it on TV and then you could post it on your blog...oooo.

HRH- too funny. I was hoping people would understand it was a joke when I included blogging as one of the four most important things in my life...and you're totally correct, a fifth circle would definitely be in order.

I'll survive. I suppose compared to what other people are going through (like Baby on Bored) I've got it easy. :0)

After reading and re-reading your post (then taking time to deeply consider the peculiar vibe it was sending me), I'd like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Pam and Rick for repossessing their AeroBed in advance of my visit, and have made arrangements to stay in a hotel which claims in their literature to be free from 'godawful noises'...

I knew it was fake because I couldn't imagine when you'd have found the time to do that between trips to Home Depot. Then I asked myself, "wait, what was her fourth thing?" and cracked up when it was "blogging." I know you still like TV more than blogging, right?

I might have had to defect if you actually gave yourself a tattoo for blogging. Just on principle. Since we're all supposed to be in denial about how important it is.

Kids just don't grasp how often their cuteness saves them.

Nice tatt. Feeling better? And is the little guy sleeping right now, in the bright of the day? ; )

1. That looks painful!
2. I'm sorry you had such a rough night - any possibility of a nap today?
and 3. Your boys are just too cute, I'd forgive them anything, even insomnia punctuated by odd noises! :)

I love those pictures - both those boys are so cute!
I hope you're feeling better soon. Being sick and trying to nurse Sucks.

I happen to like my ink. It is a bit more inconspicuous, though. Didn't think a conservative republican like me would have ink, did ya! I know. I am full of surprises. Hope you feel better SO SOON! Plus, how the hell does a hair dryer burn? Seriously?

POA-trust me, you'll still get your fair share of "the noise"

Quart- You know me too well

JH- Defect? No?!

Laughing- I am feeling better, thanks! And no, he barely slept all day today, I can't decide if that's good or bad for tonight.

Z- It was! Maybe a little one! I know..but sometimes it's hard! ;0)

SP- WAY too much of a wussie.

Cathy- Thanks, Thanks & Yes, it does!

Angie- Really? You ARE full of surprises. But what is the tattoo of? Now that's the question! And I'm not opposed to tattoo's I just am way too much of a wimp to get one. Big wimp.

Oh, no! I hope your burn heals fast, and that it doesn't leave a scar. Burns hurt like crazy. And you're right--he is adorable.

Oh, you actually had me for a moment or two. I thought...would she REALLY get a circle for blogging? OUCH! That looks incredibly painful. I am SO sorry. And the lack of sleep think just sucks. We've had months of it now with our older boy who used to be dreamy when it comes to sleeping through the night, never bothering us...And yes, your little guy is adorable. Both of them!

I totally thought that was an f'ed up nipple when I first saw it!

Shit, these babies are annoying. Izzy has been wanting to stay up until midnight. MIDNIGHT. This wouldn't be so bad if we could sleep late in the morning, but Porgie will have none of that.
